| Events Annual Picnic – Members, family and friends gather on a Sunday in April each year at Howard Park, Tarpon Springs for a day of fun. Christmas Party – a potluck dinner for all our members, their families and guests. It’s a fun, family-style get-together where we share an abundance of delicious Italian food made by our members, representing all areas of Italy. Festa della Repubblica Italiana (Italian National Day) - Each year, together with Loggia Mona Lisa #2699, we proudly commemorate the anniversary when Italy became a republic - June 2, 1946. A luncheon and cultural exhibit is held on a Sunday (on or close to the date of June 2) at the Hilton Tampa Airport Westshore Hotel. The public is invited and special guests include Italy's military personnel assigned to the Joint Cell, CENTCOM, MacDill AFB; the Consul General of Italy; state and local dignitaries, state OSIA officers, invited guests, and distinguished honorees. Fundraising Events – Throughout the year we host a variety of activities (fashion shows, luncheons, musicales, Christmas gift wrapping) with proceeds specifically to benefit our Scholarship Program as well as several charities, including Cancer, Alzheimers, Cooley’s anemia, Hospice, and others. Installation of Officers – candlelight ceremony held in March on even numbered years. The event is usually a luncheon or a breakfast brunch.
